This course investigates musical infrastructures; complex and shifting intersections of material; ideological; economic; and political realities that make up our musical experiences. Through readings; listening; and exploratory sound-art projects we will re-trace these musical-material chains; rethinkingconventional notions music as affect; instead; grounding musical life within infrastructural reality.
