The minor provides a broad base of knowledge about art as it relates to history and culture, exposes students to a variety of theoretical and methodological issues, and helps them develop critical and analytical skills.
The art history minor is available to students who have successfully completed one course in each of the three categories of Foundations of Art History introductory program (Non-Western, ARTH 120-129; Ancient to Baroque, ARTH 130-139; Modern-Contemporary, ARTH 140-149) for six credits, and sixteen additional credits in art history at the 300 or 400 level.
