This course is a faculty-supervised field experience which gives the student an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to actual health care delivery situations. The seminar following this experience provides discussion of the key factors contributing to the most critical issues in health care today. The class benefits from students sharing their internship experiences in health-related organizations. Topics include risk management; corporatization of health care; the continuum of long term care; multi-institutional systems; access to health care; and allocation of health care resources.
